Sometimes a waste of time may not be a totally waste..

I was planning on finishing a current commission this afternoon but hubby suddenly got a call from a 3D printing company for a quick demo session and the guy only had this afternoon for free. So, he wanted me to go along to check out some of the latest 3D printers that are available. I figured the demo shouldn’t take more than half an hour so I went along but nope, it was more like 3-4 hours.

Besides making 3D sculptural objects, this company also makes 2D text prints on shirts. To show customer their samples during convention times, they printed their different texts and textures of the texts on small tees. I noticed underneath this work table there was a pile of these small sample tees. I took and few look and realized they are perfect size for my SD size BJDs! I was thrilled but wasn’t sure if I should ask to see if I can have one. The demo guy saw that I was looking at those shirts (he should since I looked and was flipping through them 3-4 times) and told me how they printed it. I finally decided to ask if I can have one for my dolls that I collect and he said sure! I wish I could have gotten more but I am happy that he let me have one.

Here is a picture of Nolan modeling the shirt.
