Evil can be disguised in different forms

There are so many evilness and temptations waiting for us in our daily life. I find it so hard to not give in so everyday is pretty much a battle. To be able to resist them is heroism in itself.
Just the other day, I spotted evil disguised itself in the form of chocolates. I was window shopping with my sister at a local mall and we walked by a small innocent looking chocolate store. I had to stop myself from taking another step forward because right there smacked in the middle of the display window, I saw puppies, cats, beetles and ducks in the forms of chocolates. This called for a serious oh my god moment. I couldn’t believe how such high calorie, pimple inviting sweets can be so darn cute! Goodness! It is as if chocolate itself is not tempting enough. I gave my sister a look of ‘is it ok if I just walk in to check how much those things are’ and to my surprise, she nodded her head. I so wished she hadn’t though.
Once inside, I asked the cashier how much those puppy looking chocolates were. He told me they were around USD$4.50 each due to the weight (since they were all solid inside). I almost fainted at the price so I stared real hard at the three rows of dark chocolate, milk chocolate and white chocolate puppies hoping somehow I can find reasons to not want them. Of course the darn cashier guy just had to take out more of those puppy chocolates from behind the counter and lined them up one by one for me to see. The different color puppies wobbled left and right trying to line up. I felt the temptation wobbling with them as well. So after what seemed like a forever two minutes, I decided to buy one white chocolate puppy and one milk chocolate one. Yes, I failed. Yes, I surrendered. And yes, I paid USD$9 for two tiny chunks of chocolate. Sigh.
