Markings

Marks can be physical or emotional. Some they can last forever while others just few short minutes. Pillow marks on your face or on the pillow you make when you just woke up from your sleep will disappear eventually. Extra coffee that dripped out from the cup can also left stain/mark on the tablecloth or the cup holder. These are some of the physical marks in our daily life. Emotional marks are harder to get rid of or disappear.

The marks I am talking about today is from wedding rings.

How many of you wear your wedding rings on your finger 24 hours a day 365 days a year? The rings I have are titanium and are quite heavy. I don’t wear mine all the time but not because they are not special or important but when sewing and handling dolls, I try to be as careful as I can. I have two rings; one is for engagement and one for wedding. The wedding ring I have is quite thick and heavy (due to the material) that it creates spaces between my other fingers. That is how thick it is. Since I sew a lot and handle my dolls to model quite often, I am just afraid if I am not careful enough, I might make little scratches or marks here and there. I have them on when I am not handling dolls or when I go out. Sometimes I like to stare at the markings left by the rings on my fingers when I am not wearing them.

So...are you marked or not?
